In January of this year Indie film star, Diane Gaidry, was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, known as HER2-positive.
That news caused her to drop out of her annual spring performance with Torn Space Theatre. You may recognize her from Kat Brook’s 2006 hit film Loving Annabelle, or from her other work in The Dogwalker, and America So Beautiful; film shorts like Egg, and Transaction, or perhaps you’ve seen her on her TV appearance in Medium. But what you may not know is that Diane is also a life coach. Her practice is known as Vérité Life. Through Human Design, the practice of Ho’oponopono (a Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness of the self), yoga training, a listening ear and a lifetime of wisdom, Diane has been changing the lives of many - helping others find their purpose in the world.
The way that she plays a role in my life, as been partly through Vérité Life’s practice and partly through the connection of working together - art wise. Several years ago I was in a DV situation that I felt like I couldn’t get out of - and without her guidance, or her showing up for me when others could not, I’m not sure I would have made it out alive. All the work that we have done together has helped me create a better foundation, both for myself and my art. For that, I’m truly thankful.
After all the years that she has helped me, it is now my turn to do what I can to help her.
Diane has spent the past several months working on her health and find the best group of doctors with the best treatment plans. Unfortunately, cancer treatment is an incredibly costly need. Diane’s friends and family started a campaign to help raise the funding necessary for her healing. We are 77% funded with only a bit more needed to reach the goal!!!
There are two ways you can help!
The first - donating directly to her campaign with the button below. The second - buying a print from our shoot. The prints offered come in several different sizes and framed. All proceeds go towards benefitting Diane.
It would mean the world to us both if we had your support!
